kJams/AVI curious

Just talk about kJams stuff with each other, describe things you did that worked, talk about your setup, anything that doesn't fit into the other forums!

kJams/AVI curious

Post by franks »

I notice a number of "portable" karaoke microphones have hit the market.

The mics featured are self contained in that they use SD cards for their AVI karaoke files. The mics have active vol, echo, & pitch control. Also they state that they provide S/W to convert CDG files to AVI files to load the SD card.

Curious to know if kJams library files can be converted to the AVI format so that they can be used in such a mic system and if so how?

Any enlightenment?

kJams can export to any format supported by QuickTime. If there is a QT exporter for AVI, then go for it.

But AVI was introduced in 1992, and it's pretty lame, so i'm not going out of my way to make that work unless i get LOTs of requests for it. :)

Update: Well gosh, looks like kJams fully supports AVI for import and export!

I'm not sure if I can follow you.

I don't see any menu option to export a kJams file as an AVI file.

Although I can export to QuikTime as MPEG-4 file.

sorry, QT Export is a Pro only feature. Lite version can export to like iPhone and stuff.

to get AVI with kJams Pro, install Perian.

then go to prefs->exporting and set your encoder to AVI
