I'm the UK and I've been told that if a new landlord takes over a pub and I've got my kit built in at the pub, The kit becomes part of the fixtures and fittings and therefore I'd loose ownership.
Can anyone verify this
Fixtures and fittings
Re: Fixtures and fittings
that doesn't sound right. if you're not sure, remove your stuff before the sale.
Re: Fixtures and fittings
That's what I do.
It looks like no one knows the answer

Re: Fixtures and fittings
One venue i set up a lot of my equipment in a few years back was about to go through a change of owner, luckily i got wind of the change and went down and loaded out all my gear that i could fit in my van. There was a few bits i just didn't have the room for. When i went back the following week the new owner refused me access saying that as far as he was concerned as he had purchased the venue everything belonged to him. I tried getting a lawyer involved and was told no to waste my time as it was only a few hundred £s of kit that would cost me thousands in court fees to try and get it back, even although i had receipts. That was UK. i no longer leave any kit in a venue, even if I'm playing two or three nights in a row, i load everything out and then back in the next night, Once bitten , twice shy.

I hope you let everyone on Facebook know about this without opening yourself up to litigation.
