I have a wish to monitor and backup the kJams directory with a source control system, in the most part I use references to the songs on a separate drive so size of transfer is not an issue, I could use time machine but I wish to have more control of the overall process of keeping an up to date backup that is to a large degree platform independant.
So if kJams could ignore all entries that that start with a period like .svn or .hg that would be great, this allow us to use source control and not have kJams try and create the singers / playlists for .xxx entries.
