Moving Kjams folder

I have my karaoke songs loading straight to my macbook but, like iTunes I would like it to point to an external hard drive. I know about the kjams folder once its there we cannot rename things or basic stuff, but I want to move the kjams folder to my external hard drive and have kjams play out of there. Any Ideas
